EFFECT: A wooden display stand is shown with six Styrofoam cups resting along the length of it. The performer explains that underneath ONE cup is an object. However, THAT object and cup is yet to be determined.

A die is shown and the performer asks a spectator to roll the die. He points out that there are SIX sides to the common die and SIX cups, so a roll of the die will determine which cup is removed, or better yet, smashed to smithereens!

After all, it's SHOW business, right?

One-by-one, each of the cups is methodically eliminated by a roll of the die, until only ONE remains. When the cup is uncovered, the audience sees that an egg has been residing underneath it. The egg is broken into a clear glass or goblet to prove that this experiment could've come to a very MESSY conclusion indeed.

For a more dramatic conclusion, a SPIKE or NAIL can be revealed as the final object underneath the cup.

Another option, is the classic Bank Night, wherein a $100 bill is discovered to be the last object remaining for the mentalist. Of course, you predicted the outcome, and the fact that you, the performer would end up with the $100 bill.
